My First Chain Break with Angelina
After putting 681 kilometers (as indicated by the ride computer) on my bike Angelina, finally the chain gave in tonight. I was ascending at the Floodway bridge when the chain was broken and fell off. Fortunately, the traffic behind me was moving slowly as it was rush hour so I still had the time to pull over. Good thing that the chain didn't fall off in the middle of the road.
I could have walk the rest of the way side by side with my bike had there been no bike shops along the way. About a kilometer before reaching home, there are bike shops that are still open until 7 o'clock in the evening. I was hoping those are still open for me.
The bike shops are still open with a few customers. I chose the bike shop that had no longer customer and the mechanic fixed my chain using a chain breaker. In five minutes, my bike is again in its tip-top condition. I was only billed twenty pesos.
