Visit at the Villa Oro Resort

Thursday, February 18, 2010

December 16, 2008 - Sometime in between our wedding preparation, Jovy and I had the chance to visit one resort in Matalam which is called Villa Oro Resort. The visit to the place so happened when we accompany EJ, Jovy's then 5-year old nephew to their school's Christmas Party held at this resort.

For this blog entry, si EJ naman ang gawin nating bida... Meanwhile, please be patient as the images in this post may take time to download.

C'mmon! Let's rock and roll!

As Jovy and I roamed around the vicinity of the resort, she surprisingly encountered her long-lost friend and former boardmate during her college days. The friend hailed in Upi, Maguindanao and is now working as guidance councelor in one exclusive school in Kidapawan. It also happened that their group had also an event held in Villa Oro Resort. The two are so happy to have meet each other again after long years of absence. They eagerly posed for a souvenir photo.

Jovy couldn't talk longer with her friend as both are in a hurry for their respective events. Anyhow, Jovy managed to invite her for our wedding and she promised she would try her best to be present on that occassion. After that, Jovy and I returned to EJ's school Christmas Party.

Kids and the kids at heart were very happy for this Christmas Party. Muslims and Christians alike shared the same joy and Christmas spirit on this event.

Matalam reminded me of the day when Cotabato was still an undivided province and I was a fresh college graduate doing fieldworks in what was then designated as Cotabato River Basin. Those days wre some of my happiest.

Dodong, yung brother-in-law ko, his wife hails from Cotabato! Di ko nga lang alam maiden name nya...

These are fun photos. My son also loves the water. As for Christmas parties, we have one of the most fun and memorable celebrations compared with the rest of the world!

Hey Dodong! I had been trying to leave a comment for a while, but I couldn't access your blog. Something about bandwidth exceeded or something? Anyways, looks like a fun time. It's cool that Jovy met up again with her friend.

I hope that all is going well with you, Jovy and the baby. Good luck and hope to hear from you soon!
