An Unfortunate Incident III

Saturday, March 7, 2009

I lost another phone at a wink of an eye - not just one phone but two!

This afternoon at two o'clock, I arrived back to the office from a field work with a few cargoes stuffed at the back of the car. When I get down, I locked the car but left the rear door open so I can unload my cargoes. When I found out that my officemates are eating lunch late, I joined them as I was hungry too. Hunger must have distracted me but I was very sure that the doors of the car except the rear were locked. Timeframe was just split of seconds as I was eating hastily when I returned to the car and found out that my Asus V66 and Sony Ericsson K750i are gone. The doors were still locked so I wonder how did it happen. I realized the thief gained entry to the rear. Stupid me! Unfortunately, the Sony Ericsson K750i is my wife's Valentine's Day gift for me (read that here).

I called up my wife and confessed what had happened. She flared up and scolded me and hanged up the phone. Up until this point I'm writing this entry, I haven't had talked to her again, not just yet.

After the incident, I proceed to Alimall to buy another phone (any brand and model) for a budget of P1,500.00 only. I got a second hand Nokia 3120c for P1,400.00 only. Now that I got another phone, I hope my wife will forgive me. She's not easily upset but I could see how dissappointed she was about the incident.

Now, I still have to go to Sun Cellular in SM Megamall to get a replacement SIM pack. It's good that I subscribed to a postpaid plan so I could still recover my number. But it simply don't work with my prepaid Globe and Smart number (my Asus phone is dual SIM). I will never be able to recover those and my contacts will forever be gone. My Asus phone contains these numbers: +639167057550 Globe and +639186912288 preferred Smart number.

This is not the first time our couple lost our phones. Similar incidents were published from here: An Unfortunate Incident, An Unfortunate Incident II, Sentimental Values in this Fast-Moving World, and a few phone theft incidents that I wasn't able to blog about since there were no blogs yet during those times.

Meanwhile, I have to proceed now to the Sun Shop in SM Megamall.

By the way, the thief only took my two phones. My Polo sunglasses (that I used when driving) and wallet were spared. However, our office key was also taken as the keyholder looks like a phone case. Now, I might as well buy another set of padlocks.

Blue Skies, Performance Bike, and a Pillion Passenger: A Phonecam Photo Essay

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

After that disastrous incident of which our company hired a male assistant for me who is lazy, a drunkard, irresponsible and messed up all my work while I was away for my wedding vacation, now I'm blessed with a female aide who is responsible, work-oriented, obedient, quick-learner, with initiative, no vices, and cute. She just replaced the first guy who was fired out due to poor performance, insubordination, tardiness, and misbehavior.

Right this time while roaming around the metro, I'm training my new apprentice and she easily learned about her new work. She unburden an ample amount of my workload. I'm hoping to work with her smoothly from the second quarter of the year and onwards.

During our trips, I had taken a few "drive and snap" photos using my Sony Ericsson K750i mobile phone camera. During the last few days of February, the sky is getting clearer, an indication of the approaching summer.

SM Fairview

Last weekend, we went to SM Fairview to observe their 3-day Sale. At the car park area, my assistant saw giant balloons. She suddenly got an idea to be photographed with those huge balloons so she could show it to her kids who like balloons so much.

The pillion passenger-turned-phonecam model posed for a few shots with those balloons in the background.
