Hotmail Scam Alert

I am a Hotmail user since December 1996 and had been actively using the account until today. The service underwent several changes over the years. With much improvements that Hotmail went through, so is the prevalent spam emails saturating our inbox almost everytime you're checking emails. Due to its wide availability, its popularity, and its ease of registration of new accounts, legitimate users fall prey to spammers sending illicit email messages. If iyou're having a Hotmail, MSN, or Windows Live account, did you happen to receive email that exactly look like below?

Sent: Monday, July 20, 2009 1:13:14 AM
To: Windows Live Hotmail (frempongyaw@hotmail.com)
Attn: Account User,

We are having congestion due to the anonymous registration of free Windows Live Account therefore we are shutting down some Windows Live Account and your account was among those to be deleted. We are sending you this email so that you can re-confirm your account information to enable us upgrade your account from been deleted. If you are still interested to use your Windows Live account kindly re-confirm your account by filling the space below after clicking the reply button.

Google Adsense: Western Union Quick Cash

Update: (08-11-2009) The problem stated below has already been resolved. Thank you for reading.

I lost several Google Adsense checks to thieves, so I'd like to resort to Western Union Quick Cash, but I can't change my method of payment. Could it be due to my name's suffix? (Jr) I was already trying to pair my suffix to my given name and the family name, but nothing works. I can't just seem to find any answer at the Help Center. I'm still awaiting the reply from Google Support about this problem. Please see screenshot below for the problem that I encountered.

   I hate spammers, I always just ignore emails like that... in fact I ignore official emails from Hotmail too hehe... good luck with adsense.

   Hi Dodong, I always get emails telling me to update my bank information. When I am so doubtful, I would go to my bank website directly and see if I can get access, if yes,then I forward this email to the fraud alert department of the financial institution. This type of mail is called "phising". It helps track down the culprits.
   P.S. Taga Negros man ko, daghan na siya gitawag geothermal plant, managed by PNOC. Although we are one of the sources of electricity to Cebu Panay and other islands, sigue lang guihapon ug brown out usahay black out. Maka comment na ko. Daghang salamat sa pag bisita.
