The Pasig Ferry Experience: A Photo Essay
Monday, November 24, 2008
Last October 20, Jovy and I went to Recto Avenue in Manila for the printing of our wedding invitation. While the usual mode of transportation to reach the place is via train (i.e., MRT, LRT, LRT3), we agreed to take the Pasig Ferry. After all, Jovy happens to live in JP Rizal Extension in Makati where Guadalupe Ferry Station is also situated. As for me, I'd be coming from Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong so I would just walk to cross Guadalupe Bridge from Robinson's Pioneer to the ferry station.
Jovy brought along with her friend Grace. We board the 9:20am ferry ride. We paid 45 pesos each person for our ticket.
The following photos were taken using phonecam as I didn't bring with me my SLR.
Photos taken using Sony Ericsson T280i

Photos taken while onboard the ferry.

Hello Dodong! I remember na taga Butuan ka pala. Pupunta kse ako dun with my friends kse meron kme free tickets from Cebu Pacific.
My question here is related din sa ferry cruise but not exactly in Pasig :) I heard kse na pwede mag boating sa Agusan River, do you have info on how we can avail it at saan?
I will appreciate any other tips you can give me regarding your hometown. Sa Nov. 29 na kme pupunta ng Butuan. I have no idea ng mga must see & do sa Butuan kaya cguro bahala na kung ano madatnan namen dun, bka mag rent nalang kme ng multicab or something.
Thank you very much! -

Hi, Carlo!
Haven't tried jeepney ride from Butuan to Magallanes or vice-versa even when I was in college (I also drive jeepneys when I was in college - Nasipit-Butuan route). Masyado kasing malayo, iikot pa. So, I only took the shortcut which is via pumpboat. Either way, it should be a nice adventure. We can only hope open ng half-day for Saturday ang tourism office ng Butuan. I've heard some local government are opening their tourism office half-day kapag Saturday.
I'm leaving for North Cotabato by December 2. My wedding will be on the 27th. Sana makapunta ka ;) Got to go there early dahil dami pang aasikasuhin.
Sige, till then. Good luck sa adventure. -
