September Update!

Last August 24, 2008, members of My Islands Philippines gathered at the Ilustrado Restaurant in Intramuros, Manila for the prenup of two MIP members who are going to get married this year. I wasn't able to post the event right after since my website was down for the whole month of August. Photos are posted in my Multiply website.Clicking the links will bring you to the photo album. Google Chrome

A few days back, I accidentally had Googled a new web browser that was just launched most recently. It's called the Google Chrome. Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.

There was only one catch. The program only runs on Windows XP and Windows Vista platform. A Windows 2000 user myself, I can't believe it that it is somewhat like users with older operating systems were just being left behind for anything new in the technology arena. Googling further, I found a blog entry with complete information about installing this new software on Windows 2000. And there I go.

Following the instructions, I was able to install the program without any problem but wasn't able to make it run. I was always prompt with the error message that goes: “Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed. Restart now?” Well, I don't easily give up. After three days, I visited the link again and found in the comment section that a lot of people following the instruction were experiencing the same problem as mine. But what's good is that the blog entry was also updated by the author with new information about solving the problem that we encountered.

Now, I successfully had installed Google Chrome in my system and run it with only a few negligible glitches, but it does works fine. It only says that it's not compatible with Windows 2000 but still it works.
