Photo Essay: Manila Ocean Park

Monday, March 17, 2008

"Discover the marine world's vast resources. Enjoy the fun-filled learning experience." That's what the place promised or so as seen printed on a large tarp fixed across Manila Ocean Park building. I cannot attest how true the claim is as I didn't get inside when we went there last Saturday, March 15. I had all the reasons why I didn't get inside to witness their spectacle despite of the marketing hype I read from the newspaper about the place and the promotional materials I happened to read at True World Travel and Tours. The following photographs were taken using Asus mobile phone camera.

The big tarp with Pres. GMA's photo into it.

Ticket prices.

Mural.

The lobby of Manila Ocean Park.

There are also clowns to entertain Manila Ocean Park's visitor.

There were long queue of visitors at the ticket lane.

Judging from the outside, I can see that the complex is still far from complete. Of when it will be completed, I don't have any idea yet. I got a copy of ocenarium map from my friends but didn't get sufficient information that I wanted. Surfing the internet, I come across with the park's website, http://oceanparkmanilabay.com/, and an online article from Inquirer's Manila Ocean Park to Open in December.

Harbor View, Parking Area

I also got several photos from around the place, the Harbor View and the Parking Area.
