Just another femme fatale?

Tuesday, June 20, 2006

I saw this lady motorcyclist in Antipolo proper yesterday swiftly squeezing through traffic with ease. It was amazing how she handled her motorcyle more than average men can do. I became curious whether she is really a woman or not, so I tried following her for a few more blocks until we reached to an intersection manned by a traffic police. I squeezed into her right side when we were halted for a stop and when I got the right angle, I playfully snapped a photo of her using my phone camera. Just then, I noticed my right front tire suddenly deflated. When I got off to check, I saw that the tire was pierced by a junked steel bar. Sad I didn't know why I didn't see those construction debris in the first place, scattered just over the shouldering. It was crazy. I had to remove my barong tagalog and had to changed tire under the heat of the high noon sun. As a result, I wasn't able to catch up my lunch on time. I brought the tire to the vulcanizing shop this morning and the repair man told me the tire is already unusable (tubeless punctured with big holes can no longer be fixed). Tsk, tsk, tsk, I end up buying two pieces of tire this afternoon...
Extraordinary women are simply dangerous...
